Meet the Miller Sisters
Introducing the Miller sisters, we begin with the eldest.
Buzz (Alice Christine) Miller—is a retired police detective, single and eldest daughter of Bill and Gerry Miller, Buzz balances a full schedule with keeping an eye on her aging parents, chasing down bad guys and still trying to maintain a sane relationship with her siblings—not too easy when your siblings are not quite sane! Smart, savvy, and Wisconsin’s newest member of the AARP, Buzz is also fighting an annoying attraction to the local sheriff—a guy she has known her entire life. Buzz is a been-there-done-that woman, and has survived an abusive marriage, an unplanned early retirement and bleeding ulcer. She has a touch of the “Irish Magic,” and the ability to re-live a crime scene. While it made her an exceptional investigator, her “gift” almost got her killed in the line of duty. Well, the old Irish Magic feeling is back and Buzz can’t help but to follow the trail of a drug lord which could land her six feet under if she’s not very, very careful.
Fred Miller—Fred is Number Two and owns the local pet shop in town. Pretty as a pixie and clumsy as a bull in a china shop, Fred’s hyper personality has her bumbling through life by the seat of her pants. She collects tropical fish and weird friends. Once a collector of antique knick-knacks, they now line the hallways of her beautiful old Victorian, but most of them are missing heads, hands, or torsos! Unless you’re warned in advance, you might find the missing body parts a little creepy. Her good heart and fierce loyalty make her a favorite among her peers, but her impulsive decisions land her fanny in the fire more often than not. Her acute sense of logic and her ability to sit back and observe makes Fred a force to be reckoned with—if she could only stop breaking things….
Mag (Margaret Anne) Miller—The third daughter and known throughout the tri-county area as “The Maggot” from her childhood bug collecting days, high school Biology teacher Mag Miller has the summer off and a taste for murder—investigating murder, that is. Smart mouthed and sassy, Mag tells it how it is, and takes no guff from anyone. Mag is great in a crisis but a little short on police experience and people skills. Mag screws up more often than she gets it right and is fired by Buzz several times before the investigation is over. Between wearing pancake on her butt and her heart on her sleeve, Mag becomes involved in the most mind-blowing experience of her life.
Al Miller-Alexandra Lynn, is the youngest of the herd and definitely a different kettle of fish. Almost twenty years younger than Buzz, Al is not yet sure what she wants to be when she grows up. Beautiful, and brilliant, Al is the local librarian and computer guru.
A great manipulator of peopel-especially men, Al has but to bat her eyes and play “Damsel in Distress,” and half the town is running to her aid. She loves her sisters, but has no idea how to communicate with them. Frustrated with trying to make them see her as an equal, Al does the opposite and is known as the town’s “Ice Queen.”
Buzz sees her as a useless pain in the butt, and Mag barely tolerates breathing the same air as Al, but Fred tries to maintain peace between her sibs, and usually ends up on the firing line instead.
